Today's Adventure

The weather is actually nice today so the kids have been getting dirty outside. A few minutes ago I went out back to check on Sarah and she was bouncing on the trampoline buck-naked! Laughing hysterically because she knew she was so funny. She jumped down and started jumping in the mud! What a girl! I'm really in trouble!

Destructive Sarah

Sarah has been on a destructive bent lately. This afternoon she found her cold, soggy Top Ramen noodles from lunch. (Yes, I let my kids eat ramen and, no, I had not washed the dishes.) She dumped them on the floor and proceeded to dance around in the middle of it, smooshing it with her feet all over everything! Yesterday, she emptied out an entire container of baby wipes, and most of a roll of toilet paper in her room. She spilled our container of change all over the bedroom floor this morning, and now we are finding change all over the house. Every day it is something new. You never know what her clever little mind will dream up next. And Paxton isn't much better since he can now carry his stool all over the house to climb up to whatever he wants to explore!

Pax's Route

Pax has created a little route around the living room: Up the stool, onto the side table, over the sofa arm, onto the sofa, down the ground, run around the sofa back to the stool to start again. At first I didn't like him climbing on the furniture, especially because his older siblings follow suit, but it has provided him with so much entertainment the last few days that I have grown to love and even encourage that little circle of activity.

David & Goliath

Mark and I were sick yesterday so we spent the day switching off who got to be in bed. When I was up, I made a birthday cake. When Mark was up, he made a movie with the kids. (I guess he was inspired by my cousin, Paige, and our friends, the Brobergs, who have both been making movies lately.) You'll notice that everyone but Sarah is still in their pajamas even though it was probably the middle of the afternoon. The kids had a blast and can't wait to make another one.

Sarah's Birthday Photos

I found the cord for the camera so I was able to get the photos we took yesterday. It was a low key day since Mark and I were both sick. The cake wasn't so fancy this time, but Sarah still couldn't resist dipping into the chocolate before I could light the candles. That's my girl!

Sarah Turns 3!

Sarah turned three years old yesterday. A few weeks ago we had a party for her and her cousin, Addison, who turned three on the 15th. They are the best of friends (except for maybe when it comes to sharing princess shoes).
Cohen gave me some cheesy grins for the camera. He loves tagging along after Sarah & Addie.
 Big hugs.
Awesome princess shoe cake by Emily.
Brent and Kim were in town to visit Grandpa John. We stuck the party in before they had to head back to Utah. The girls loved playing with Kim in the basement.
 Kim & Paxton
The mayhem of present opening with such a big group.

Matching teddy bears from Grandma & Grandpa.

Paxton was very excited about the presents.
She loved everything. Anything pink, purple and princess and she loves it.
 We better watch out!
They each got a turn to blow out the candles on the cake.
We are so blessed to have so much family around us. It makes holidays and birthdays so special. We had a much smaller birthday celebration yesterday with a little chocolate cake and some presents from Nana. I have some cute pictures of that but I can't find the USB cord for the camera so I'll have to post them later. :)

We're Having A Baby!

Well, not us -- My sister, Amanda, who has been trying to have another baby for several years, is PREGNANT! We are so excited and thrilled. Like Natalie and myself, she had to go through the rigors of IVF in order to achieve this little miracle. But all the shots and hormones were worth it because there is a baby on the way (or maybe two -- we won't know for a couple more weeks!) We love you, Amanda! Congratulations!
