Sarah Turns 2

Sarah and her cousin, Addison, celebrated their second birthdays a few weeks ago. It is hard to believe they are so old. But Sarah is acting the part -- She only uses her beloved binky in bed now. When you get her up in the morning, she automatically pulls it out and says "Binky [a]way. My do it." It is much easier to understand her now that she doesn't have her mouth plugged up all day. And she talks nonstop! "Mommy, what doing? what that? what that sounds? what doing? where are you? where going?..." Bailey and Addie moved nearby after Christmas and she LOVES going over to play.

She is such a girl! She asks for her hairbows, tights, dresses, etc. every day. She has rediscovered her tutus that she would never wear before and twirls around. Every dress is a "princess" dress. She plays in her kitchen and puts her babies to bed. But she still has brothers, so she is also an expert light saber fighter and animal "roarer."

Sarah gets into more than her fair share of mischief (eating butter with a spoon, painting herself with food, breaking glassware, drawing on herself and her dolls with Sharpie marker, running into the street as I'm yelling STOP, taking off her diaper and peeing in the garage...) but she is so adorable that we quickly forgive most of it. She is quick to say please and thank you. She gives hugs and kisses to all of us all day long. She practiced walking down the hall at church today with her arms folded. With those cute curls and her infectious smile, I'm quite smitten!
